A. USAGE:

SPERM QUICK MORPHO is used for the assessment of sperm morphology by providing excellent staining of the sperm head, neck, and tail.

C. PRECAUTIONS:

All patient samples should be considered potentially infectious and the user must wear protective gloves, eye protection, face mask and laboratory coats when performing the test and take off contaminated parts immediately.
After contact with skin wash immediately with water and soap.
The test should be discarded properly after use (biohazard).
Do not use after expiration date, which appears on the package label.

Care should be taken to avoid contact with skin or eyes, and to prevent inhalation or swallowing.
Work under air removal environment.
Do not release the products used into the environment.
Fixative Solution (FS) and Stain (A) Solution (SAS) are highly flammable liquids and vapor.

Pour each reagent into separate staining jars.
Prepare a thin smear of the semen sample (washed or unwashed) on a clean glass slide and allow it to air dry completely.
Immerse the slide in Fixative solution (FS) for 5 seconds and allow it to air dry completely.
Immerse the slide in Stain (A) solution (SAS) for 5 seconds, then gently blot the edge of the slide on absorbent paper to remove excess stain.
Immerse the slide in Stain (B) solution (SBS) for 5 seconds, rinse the slide once with water to remove excess stain, and allow it to air dry completely.
Examine the stained smear under a light microscope using a 100× oil immersion objective lens. The acrosome stains pink to violet, whereas the tail stains light blue to dark blue.
